Elementary ways to hammer a small nail and not hit the fingers

During repair work, and just in everyday life, it is often necessary to hammer a nail. This is quite traumatic, especially if you need to drive a small clove. In order to protect your fingers from bumps, interesting methods were invented, which we will talk about later.

Take a comb comb

This method is perhaps one of the most unusual. Few can imagine that a regular hair comb is required when hammering nails, even small ones.

So, we take a flat plastic comb, hold the nail between its teeth, apply the resulting design to the place where we are going to nail the nail: it holds firmly. Done.

Use a clothespin

Also quite an unusual method, but at the same time no less effective. There are clothespins in almost every home, for work choose the most durable, wooden is best.

The essence of this method is to compress the cloves with a clothespin and attach it to the surface to nail. Fingers with this method are protected, because they are outside the zone of impact of the hammer.

Take out the pliers

This method is more reliable than the previous ones, because the pliers are much stronger and their handles are noticeably longer. The only thing you should pay attention to is how firmly the nail is squeezed. If you compress too weakly, it will fall out and have to tinker.

Put the nail in the eraser on the pencil

If you have such a pencil, try this method. First take a knife and make a continuous cut across the elastic. The width of the cut should correspond to the size of the clove, otherwise it will slip out. Be careful not to get damaged when working with the knife.

Roll a paper tube

The denser you take the sheet, the stronger the structure will come out. After you fold the sheet into a tube, fold it in half. And in the corner between the two halves, insert a nail. Next, follow the standard scheme: attach the nail sandwiched between the tubes to the place where you want to drive it, and hit the hat with a hammer.

Now, knowing so many different ways, you will certainly be able to easily hammer any small clove without hitting your fingers. Just select one or more methods that are most suitable for you and get to work. Good luck!
