Wooden floors are a classic that is always popular, but in the modern construction market you can increasingly find new materials that can become an alternative to traditional ones. For example, bamboo flooring is a fairly fresh solution for flooring, its popularity is growing every day. What are the advantages of this flooring, is it worth chasing new-fangled trends or is it better to give preference to the good old wooden parquet?
Why is bamboo flooring so good?

Preparatory phase - foundation preparation
The quality of the screed is given special attention. It should not have voids, cracks, level drops, adhesion to the base should be strong, peeling is unacceptable. Using self-leveling mixtures as the basis, one should adhere to the instructions and control the thickness of the obtained layer.
If necessary, steam and waterproofing is laid over the screed. Then, with dowels or screws, moisture-proof plywood is attached to the base.
Like any floor covering, bamboo flooring needs a certain period of time to acclimatize to new conditions. To do this, he is placed in the room where they are going to lay. The packaging must be opened, and the room must be maintained at normal temperature and humidity.
Direct styling process
Flooring is performed similarly to other types of flooring. Correct laying of bamboo flooring is done on dry moisture-proof plywood (12-15mm) in a room with normal humidity. The cement screed, which is under the plywood, must be absolutely dry, that is, from the moment of pouring it must pass at least 30 days.
Kraft paper with a density of 200-300 g / m is laid on top of plywood2. This allows you to minimize creak with a slight backlash. Since bamboo is a natural material, there are some differences in the shades of parquet planks, but with the right approach, this is more a virtue than a disadvantage. You need to simultaneously work with several packages of parquet, alternating them, then on the surface of the floor you will get a beautiful combination of shades that will delight the eye.
Each parquet die is laid on glue (two-component polyurethane is best suited) and fastened with nails or parquet studs, driven into the comb by an angle of 45 degrees. To avoid possible cracking when fixing with nails, you can drill holes in advance. After the glue has completely dried (about 36 hours), you can walk on the parquet, it is ready for use.
