4 ways to use needles from a Christmas tree or pine

If after the New Year holidays you still have natural spruce or pine, try to find useful use for it.

For health

Spruce, pine and fir are not only symbols of the New Year. Our ancestors actively used the healing properties of needles. They drank infusions for the treatment of tuberculosis, nervous disorders, heart disease, gout, arthrosis, ulcers and bronchopulmonary diseases. Coniferous drinks also served as a general strengthening and supporting immune system.

To soothe and alleviate depressive disorders in ancient times, the tea "Taiga" was brewed. The ingredients for it can be bought at any pharmacy. For one part of pine or spruce branches, take one part:

  • oregano herbs;
  • fireweed leaves;
  • raspberry leaves;
  • lingonberry leaves.

Use needles together with twigs, rinse thoroughly and cut into small pieces with scissors. Put all the ingredients in a kettle or any heat-resistant dishes and pour boiling water. Cover the container and let it brew for 5-7 minutes. Then strain, sweeten with honey to taste. Drink this tea after a busy day at any time and feel nervous agitation. To prevent cardiovascular disease, you can regularly make infusion of spruce. For 2 servings, prepare:

  • 2 tbsp. l pine needles;
  • 2 cups boiling water;
  • 2 tsp honey;
  • 1 tsp lemon juice.

Pour spruce needles with boiling water in a teapot and leave to infuse for 4-5 hours. After this, add honey and lemon juice to the infusion. Drink such a drink every day, you can instead of tea in a warm form.

For flavor in the house

In addition to health benefits, needles can become a natural flavoring for home and textiles. To do this, just sew a sachet filled with green beauty. You can even use them as a small presentation to relatives and friends, additionally decorating the bag. It not only smells pleasant and natural, but also disinfects air and linen, and also eliminates insomnia.

For production, natural fabric: cotton or linen. The optimal size of the future sachet is with the palm of your hand. You will need such 2 shreds. Fold them with their faces inward and sew along the perimeter, leaving a little space at one corner. Turn the bag through this hole on the front side.   • 2 parts of coarse sea salt;
  • 1 part ground coffee or grounds;
  • 2 parts of your favorite shower gel.

Grind needles and salt in a coffee grinder to small grains. Mix them with coffee and gel. Such a scrub can be stored for about a week in the refrigerator and used during each shower. Massage the problem areas and soon the skin will smooth out, the tubercles will decrease.

To get rid of dandruff and hair growth, spruce or pine can also help you. Make a decoction with which to rinse hair and scalp after washing. Take:

  • 1 tbsp. l coniferous needles;
  • 1 cup boiling water.

Boil needles in a saucepan and let it brew for 3-4 hours. Then strain and rinse your hair, massaging your head a little.

For home

Needles will also come in handy for home decoration.Try to make a basket with your own hands. For her, long pine or cedar needles are suitable. It is best to take fresh material. If you have dry needles, pre-sort them and soak them in hot water. In addition to needles, you will need:

  • strong thick threads;
  • thick needle;
  • scissors.

For the base, take a small bunch of needles and wrap it tightly with thread. Wrap the base with a “snail” while continuing to wrap the bundle. Gradually add new needles to it so that the beam thickness is always the same. Sew the layers to each other periodically to make a sturdy product. Depending on the size of the future bowl, gradually bend to form a depression. At the end of the stitches, complete the edge so that the bowl looks neat.
