Wooden floor

Summer residents, no doubt, prefer wooden painted floorboards. It is at least economical. That is why painting the floor in the country is popular. The protected top layer of wood is not afraid of minor damage. A layer of paint protects the wooden surface from moisture, damage by wood pests.

Environmentally friendly wood - an indispensable material for arranging the floor in the children's room. As a child grows up, floorboards can be repainted, changing the overall design of the room.

Important! Paint for the floor is bought depending on the type of wood. There are several varieties: ready-to-use oil paint based on drying oil, oil-phenolic, alkyd, enamel based on polyurethanes and melamine-tar resins, etc.

Painting a wooden floor can be interesting and beautiful.

Any painting of a wooden floor consists of several stages:

  • surface preparation consists in preliminary washing it with soapy water and drying. In the case of processing previously painted coating old layers are removed with a spatula;
  • the base is primed or covered with varnish. It dries a couple of days and stains for the first time. After complete drying, the following paint coating is applied. Then the floorboards should stand for a week, after which you can walk on them.
  • to protect the painted floor from wiping, giving it a refreshing shine, the floor is painted with varnish, usually applied in 2 layers;
  • after the work is completed, the finished base is washed with hot water, but not earlier than 12 hours. In this way, traces of drying oil are removed.

Do not forget! To avoid color scatter in the bank you need to constantly mix.

Concrete floor

Concrete floors are durable and durable, have their own specifics of applying a paint layer. Surface preparation for finishing work requires the implementation of high-quality waterproofing screeds, preliminary strengthening of the surface and dust removal of concrete. Using detergents, all spots and traces of fuels and lubricants, bitumen, dust, concrete chips, etc. are removed. In this case, water should not form puddles on the surface.

Note! It is necessary to withstand the requirements for temperature and humidity conditions: the temperature of the treated concrete surface should not be less than 5 ° C, its air value should not fall below 10 ° C, and the relative humidity should not exceed 80%.

Aspects such as leveling the floor and eliminating cracks, potholes with putty should be taken into account when choosing a paint: it must have adhesion with a specific type of putty. The hardener is introduced into the composition immediately before use with continuous stirring. Staining is carried out within 4 hours. At the same time, the dry concrete surface is slightly moistened before painting.

Subsequent painting of the concrete floor can be done with a brush, using a roller or by spraying. If necessary, a second layer of tone is applied no earlier than a day after the first treatment.

Important! Whatever special paint you use for concrete substrates (acrylic, epoxy, polyurethane), you should always carry out the work correctly, following the sequence. Otherwise, the surface will begin to crack and collapse.

The optimal microclimate for drying a concrete base is room air temperature. The value of relative humidity should be in the range of 70-80%. Under such conditions, you can “exploit” the floor while walking in a day, and expose it to significant mechanical stresses after 72 hours.

Particle Boards

Particle Boards (Particle Boards) are another type of material from which an inexpensive floor heating is obtained. As you know, plates are “afraid” of water: they swell, the integrity of their surface is violated. Typically, the flooring from particleboard is carried out with ordinary floor paint in 2 layers. Preliminary preparation provides a single treatment with drying oil. Also, before painting or varnishing, the floor is primed with oxide.
