Woven carpet It is made by a method similar to that of ordinary carpets - its base (mesh) is stitched with pile threads.
They say about such a coating - "on a natural jute basis." This is the most expensive kind of carpet.
Needle Punches rightfully considered the most wear-resistant. The technology of their production involves piercing the fibrous base with special needles. As a result of their movement, the threads intertwine with each other and form a homogeneous, strong structure. For needle-punched flooring, laying is also typical of a second, as a rule, rubber, additional base.
Tufting principle extremely simple - hundreds of needles pass the threads through the lining fabric, while loops of a predetermined height are formed on its front side. Carpets made by this method constitute the predominant part of the assortment of stores.
The impact on the pile of the electrostatic field and its subsequent treatment with cementitious compounds are integral stages of production flocked products.
The structure of carpets can be:
- loop one-level - all loops of the same height;
- looped layered - different heights of loops;
- split - the result of a cut of the loop;
- buttonhole - there are loops, and a split pile.
Attention to the pile
In the vast majority of cases, synthetic fibers are used because of their wear resistance and hygiene. Polyester, polyacrylic, polypropylene, nylon - the market is rich in its offers. From the point of view of simplicity of leaving, color fastness, softness (but not crushing resistance) nylon looks more advantageous than others. Its only minus is the high price.
Natural carpets made of wool (or with its “impregnations”) have good elasticity and an incomparably attractive appearance. They are not particularly popular today because of the low wear resistance against a considerable cost. In addition, wool can cause allergic reactions.
