What is the difference between GKL and GVL

The construction industry has stepped forward a long time. As a result, the decoration of the premises is carried out by materials of various kinds, each of which has certain properties and characteristics.

Use of GCR and GVL

The use of GCR and GVL is very common these days. However, these materials differ in a number of characteristics. They should be considered in more detail.

GKL

Simply put, gypsum plasterboard sheets are the finishing material. Species are not particularly diverse. The most famous are 9 types of drywall. They differ in their properties and functions.

Gypsum plasterboard was invented in the United States at the end of the century before last, but that option was very different from the current idea of this material.

Now the drywall sheets consist of two main parts: the core and the outer coating. The core is gypsum, and the outer coating is presented in the form of thick cardboard. To make the gypsum the most durable, additional reinforcing elements are added to its composition.

An important point in choosing GCR is the size of the sheet. They are mostly purchased standard, but it is important to initially calculate the size in order to avoid unnecessary costs.

Drywall is indispensable in the construction industry. It is very flexible, which allows it to produce various arched elements from it. Properties of GCR gives free rein to the implementation of various extraordinary ideas, forming curved surfaces from the material.

GVL

GVL - gypsum fiber sheet. It is similar to drywall, characterized in that gypsum fiber is a homogeneous material, does not have a shell, i.e. a cardboard coating.

GVL is divided into ordinary and moisture resistant. Produced with a straight edge. There are two types of it: direct and fold.

The material in its composition is environmentally friendly. HVL is very durable, resistant to shock and mechanical damage, has increased fire resistance. With its help, interior partitions, suspended ceilings, arches and other complex structures are constructed.

Comparison of the characteristics of drywall and gypsum fiber

Despite the fact that the above materials seem quite similar, they have a considerable number of differences.

First of all, they are excellent in structure. Mismatch in the surface is also clearly visible. GCR is very smooth, so it will be a good material for wall lining: it will be easy to cover it with paint or wallpaper. GVL can hardly boast of such a quality.

However, GVL wins due to its durability. It is more durable than GCR.

But to say that it is better is impossible, since both of them can cope with the construction tasks of various directions.
