Hello. I want to make a bulk floor on an open balcony, because I'm tired of problems with falling off tiles and wetting walls and columns. But the balcony has a slope so that water flows. Is it possible to fill in the bulk floor and maintain this bias? Thank!

The bulk floor, in fact, is no different from a conventional screed, with the only difference being that liquid self-leveling systems are used for this. The thickness of such a coating is small and more often than not more than 5 mm, moreover, it can be finished or used as a quick-hardening mixture. The latter is designed to equip the base under floor coverings such as laminate, linoleum or parquet. The main advantage of filling systems is that when spreading, they can easily fill existing irregularities and at the same time “bring out” the horizontal to the ideal. Of course, if you follow the technology, then tilting a similar floor will not work. The mixture will tend to take a horizontal position, or more simply, flock to the bottom point.
Nevertheless, there is information that some home craftsmen were able to equip the bulk floor at an angle. To repeat their result, you have to step back a bit from technology. The mixture is diluted with less water - while its fluidity is greatly reduced. It is necessary to level the surface manually - with the help of a long spatula or a rule, having previously installed inclined beacons. The best bulk floor, which can be recommended for equipping an inclined surface, is the Vetonit 3000 finishing leveler. During the setting of the mortar, you will have to correct the surface several times with the rule, otherwise the mixture can not be crawled. I would like to immediately warn you that it is most likely that it will not be possible to get a perfectly smooth “mirror” floor - to an ideal surface will need to be removed with abrasives. Nevertheless, the maximum accuracy and diligence will allow you to achieve the desired result - practice confirms that your plan is quite feasible.
