At the stage of finishing work, a team of specialists works for me, they do everything perfectly, but I get the impression that they are deceiving me. I did all the purchases in one store, it seems to me that they have a percentage of sales there. Almost all purchased materials were abundant - the remainder is impressive. Now we are making the floor, the final flooring is linoleum. I want to purchase it myself through an online store, they have a calculator on their site. So I figured it out. But how to calculate the length of skirting boards? As a reluctance to measure everything with a meter. And maybe there are some features of the calculation of this floor finish?
Of course, such a simple task as the calculation of the skirting requires certain knowledge. After all, you need to take into account absolutely everything, even places that are invisible at first glance, where in any case you have to mount the baseboard:
- doorways;
- niches;
- arches;
- other hard to reach places.

- So, we arm ourselves with a calculator and first calculate the perimeter. Here you have to measure and put everything together.

- We are counting. For example, if the perimeter of the room is 21 m, and the baseboard is supplied in strips of length 2.5, then divide the first value by the second. The resulting figure will also reflect the number of skirting strips that are needed to finish the flooring. Specifically, then 21 / 2.5 = 8.4 pieces. The resulting figure is rounded up. Thus, it turns out that you need to buy 9 strips of 2.5 m each.
Option 2
A baseboard is purchased, which is presented in the store in the form of very long stripes. It will be cut right at the point of sale according to your size, while there will be practically no residue for you. But here we recommend making each cut strip 5 cm longer. This stock will be needed in the process of cutting the material.
In your case, you need to discuss all these nuances with the managers of the online store, since their products can be sold in any form.
