  4. At the same time, poppy need to pour boiling water; do the same with raisins and dried apricots.
  5. After 10-15 minutes, water from dried fruits should be drained and chopped with a knife.
  6. Drain the cooled water from the poppy and grind it in a mortar.
  7. Discard boiled wheat in a colander and cool.
  8. Combine all the ingredients and season them with liquid honey.

Kutia "Christmas"

Another variation of a traditional wheat based dish. From time immemorial this cereal was considered a symbol of the fertility and immortality of the soul, which is especially true on the eve of one of the brightest Orthodox holidays - Christmas.

List of required ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. wheat groats;
  • 0.5 tbsp. poppy seeds and raisins;
  • 1 tbsp. peeled walnut kernels;
  • a handful of dried apricots;
  • honey to taste.

The cooking technology is simple:

  1. Rinse and soak the wheat in cold water for 4-5 hours.
  2. After the lapse of time, drain the water, and transfer the cereals into a pan, pour 2 cups of water and put on fire.
