When temperature control of concrete mix is needed

It is no secret to anyone that various types of compositions are used in construction. The solution is selected depending on the purpose and purpose of the production.

Concrete mix

The solution is a certain mass, which consists of cement (a viscous substance), other aggregates of various fractions (crushed stone, sand), a water base, and there are also various additives that are created in order to improve the properties of the raw materials.

Monolithic and prefabricated structures are actively made from concrete mix.

Characteristics of concrete material

Considering that concrete has great hopes for the durability and quality, it has a number of advantages that meet everyone's expectations.

Depending on the composition, the concrete composition is divided into three types: rigid, mobile and spreading. All types are actively used in construction.

According to GOST standards, the mixture must meet the following requirements: workability, average density indicators, degree of delamination, porosity, temperature indicators, preservation of properties, air volume in the composition.

Temperature control

Temperature is one of the main characteristics of a concrete mix, because it affects the quality and strength of the material. Most of all thermal control is necessary in the winter, when low degrees prevail. But it is important to carry out control at plus temperatures.

Thermal control of concrete mass in the cold period

The correct temperature in the winter should contribute to high-quality mixing. This is especially true when the street temperature is below -5. Also, do not forget about the insulation of the concrete structure.

Thermal control in the warm period

At a positive temperature, it is necessary to avoid a decrease in the mobility of concrete due to excessive heating of the material. But if overheating did occur, temperature breaks should be reduced. It is important to remember: the surface temperature should not exceed the mark of 25 degrees.

Concrete hardening

In this process, the following points should be observed. Their observance is especially necessary in the first 15 days of concreting, when the base is gaining strength.

Normal hardening of the concrete mixture occurs at a temperature of 15-25 degrees. A humid environment must be maintained during the process. To protect the concrete surface from drying out, it should be covered with sand or sawdust, periodically moistening them. The surface is also protected with the help of polymer films, bitumen and polymer emulsions. They protect the concrete from evaporation.

However, in the cold and in the hot period of time, the surface of the hardened mixture must be covered with vapor barrier and thermal insulation. This is the process of concreting completion.

If the stacker follows the above rules, the concrete base will last a long time in the best way.
