Fragrances for the house with their own hands
Natural flavors fill the apartment or car interior with fragrance, eliminate unpleasant odors and protect against moths, enhance mood and decorate the interior. They do not contain harmful chemical compounds. Do-it-yourself home fragrances will help create coziness.
Sachet
This is the French word for small bag. To sew a sachet, you need natural materials (cotton, linen, burlap, etc.). To decorate the bag, they make embroidery, use ribbons, beads, lace. If it is planned to hang it, attach a loop. Sew or tie the bag should be after it is completely filled.
Options for sachet content:
- dry plants: rose, mint, jasmine, ginger, lavender, thyme, geranium, etc .;
- dried orange, tangerine, lemon peels;
- cotton wool, foam rubber, synthetic winterizer and other dry fillers, on which your favorite aromatic oil is dripped.

Aroma sticks

Manufacturing process:
- 200–250 ml of vegetable oil is poured into the selected container. Any one is suitable, the main thing is that it be deodorized.
- Essential oils (orange, lavender, peppermint, rose, etc.) are added. Their volume depends on how intense the smell you want to get. But on average - 25 drops of aromatic oil per 100 ml of ordinary.
- The composition is mixed, a couple of spoons of alcohol are added (it accelerates the aromatization processes).
- A few wooden sticks are placed in the container.
Aroma stones
Aroma stones will also become an original decoration of the interior and a source of pleasant smell in the room.
To make them, you need:
- 5 tbsp. l starch;
- 1 kg of salt;
- 500 g flour;
- aromatic oils;
- 200 ml of water;
- paint (suitable acrylic or gouache).
Process of creation:
- Make a mixture of salt, flour and starch.
- The water is heated, the dye is dissolved in it.
- Colored liquid is poured into the mixture and the dough is kneaded. They form stones from it, drip a little aromatic oil on each of them and leave it to dry.
- After hardening, the products are laid out around the house, create beautiful compositions from them.
Water based
The peculiarity of such products is that in order to feel aroma, the mixture must be hot. USB drink warmers, fondue cookers or conventional radiators are suitable.
An example of creating such a product:
- Lemon is cut into circles and placed in a jar.
- Add vanilla extract (a few drops) and rosemary (a couple of branches).
- The tank is poured with purified water and placed in a heater.
This flavor is also able to humidify the air in the room.
With soda
Soda belongs to substances that retain odors for a long time.
Production of flavoring:
- Soda is poured onto the bottom of a beautiful can (layer thickness - 1-2 cm).
- Apply 8-12 drops of aromatic oil to the powder.
- Close the container with a lid (suitable foil or fabric). Shake well.
- They make small holes in the lid with an awl or a needle.
Sprays
They will surely appeal to those who constantly buy industrial aerosols. A bottle of glass with a sprayer is filled with 3/4 water, add essential oil (20-30 drops), 3 tbsp. l alcohol. All components are thoroughly mixed.
Gel
Bright and unusual flavor is obtained on a gel basis.
Required:
- transparent container;
- 20 g of gelatin;
- 15 drops of aromatic oil;
- 25 g of glycerin;
- 250 ml of water;
- paint.
Process of creation:
- Gelatin is poured into water and left for an hour until it dissolves.
- Heat the composition over low heat (avoiding boiling).
- Gelatin and paint dissolved in a small amount of water are mixed. Allow to cool slightly.
- Glycerin and essential oil are added, stirred.
- The resulting gel is transferred to a container. It is necessary to wait for its complete cooling.
Of dried flowers
Such a thing will be an excellent solution for the office space. Dry flowers are placed in a beautiful jar and the corresponding aromatic oil is added to them.
From hydrogel
Hydrogel is a bright balls of polymer materials. You need to prepare 1 sachet of this substance.
Manufacturing process:
- 5-10 drops of essential oils are added to the water (information on how much it will be needed on the packaging) and mixed properly.
- The hydrogel is poured and left overnight. Balls swell and become larger in volume.
- Finished products are poured into suitable containers.
Fragrance recommendations
Often a mixture of essential oils is placed in one flavor. It is necessary to select odors that do not contradict each other.
The most harmonious combinations are obtained:
- from mint, lemon, fir, cloves;
- nutmeg, laurel, needles;
- bergamot, citrus, fir;
- rosemary, vanilla, lemon;
- roses, jasmine;
- cloves, orange, cinnamon;
- lavender, lemon;
- almonds, ginger, orange;
- rosemary, cloves.
