How to level the floors in an apartment with low ceilings?

My question is about leveling the floor. I want to install linoleum in one of the rooms. I live on the ground floor, a corner apartment in an old house built in the 60s. Somehow it turned out that the corner of the house went down and a bias towards one of the corners turns out. I have a question how to smooth such a floor, and with a dry method. There is no time or desire to fill the concrete screed. I was advised as an option to level the floor on the lags. In principle, the system is understandable, but I am confused by the fact that the floor will rise strongly, and in my apartment there are suspended ceilings, and if I also raise the floor, then there will be no space left.

In your circumstances, we recommend leveling the floor using plywood. Plywood flooring is also a very common way of installing flooring, although this technology arose not so long ago. It is used in cases where the skews reach 10-15 cm, and sometimes more. The perfectly smooth base of such raised floors is perfect for laying linoleum, as well as carpet and laminate.

You are absolutely right that the installation of floors on adjustable lags will reduce the height of the room by 7-8 cm. But the way to regulate the floors by lowering and raising the plywood to the desired height will require no more than 3 cm. The role of the lag in the case of plywood is performed by special bushings that are fixed in pre-made holes for them. Plastic rack bolts are screwed into the bushings, which are attached to the base with dowels. Leveling of adjustable plywood is carried out with a special key.

Please note that this method involves the use of plywood in 2 layers. First, the first layer is aligned, and then the second is screwed onto it from above with screws. In this case, it is necessary to ensure that the joints of the originally laid plywood are overlapped with the following sheets. In this case, no seams are formed, and the resulting coating will not only be even and smooth, but also reliable. Such a base is the best suited for laying your linoleum. In addition, this work can be done independently without much effort.
