Good afternoon! My parents got a house with traditional wooden floors. Naturally, they need restoration. I want to align everything and lay a modern coating on top. A neighbor told me that you can make adjustable floors. According to him, this is the best way to arrange floors. How to make raised floors on lags
This method will be effective only with a sufficiently solid base. Logs need to be installed only on a solid surface, which allows using height-adjustable plastic mounts.
Important! The fasteners must be carefully checked so that later there are no problems with its intended use.
By rotating the bolts with a special key, it will be possible to lower or raise the lags to the desired level. Moreover, this system allows you to adjust not only the entire base of the floor, but also its individual parts.
Logs are installed in increments of 60 cm - this is standard. With this arrangement, excellent ventilation of the space is provided. This method of leveling floors is simply ideal for summer cottages or country houses.
Raised floor plywood
This method is done in those areas where there is simply a need to align a certain angle of the floor covering. This method is primarily relevant in rooms with low ceilings. In this case, the role of the lag is played by bushings with internal thread. To cut them on plywood, special holes are pre-cut. According to the technology, each such leg with a dowel must be rigidly attached to a concrete base. A plastic bolt is screwed into each sleeve. As a rule, six such fasteners are enough for one plywood sheet.
Note! In especially difficult cases, it is recommended to use logs and plywood in the complex.
