What are the negative aspects of bulk floors?

We are building a house. The husband caught fire on the ground floor to make decorative bulk floors. He has the same in his office (3-story office building), he says, they have a great view. When they began to specifically talk about the device of the floor in the house, he did not even consider other options. I must confess that I am very cautious about advanced technologies and prefer traditional designs and materials. On the Internet they write a lot about such floors (both good and bad), but I'm not interested in advertising, but the negative sides of this gender. Please tell me if there are any disadvantages in fashionable bulk floors?

Indeed, in the thematic forums one can find reasoning that manufacturers over-praise this type of product. That bulk coatings are easily soiled, brittle and even unhealthy. Say right away, such information has little to do with reality. In fact, if the technology is fully complied with during their installation, then after the final drying it is impossible in principle to exert any effect on the polymer floor.

But here the absolute solidity of the bulk floor can be considered in two ways: as a positive quality, and as negative.

It is almost impossible to dismantle a completely ready-to-use floor if necessary. According to the technical qualities of the polymer coating, it adheres very firmly and practically coalesces with any type of base. It is the bulk floor that is recommended as the basis for any finished floor - it is perfectly flat, virtually free of defects, and is characterized by high strength and sufficient rigidity. If you nevertheless need to dismantle it, you will have to completely remove the top layer, literally hollowing it out.

Bulk floor can be arranged in rooms with any cross. He is not afraid of sudden temperature changes or high humidity. From an environmental point of view, this coverage does not carry any threat. So your concern is baseless, and your husband made a really good choice.
