I’ve studied all decent sites on the Internet. By the way, I also found a lot of useful things on yours. But all the same, I want to know from you dear experts, maybe there are some features of laying parquet, the knowledge of which will help to avoid gross mistakes when performing parquet flooring even for a beginner.

Hello! The process of laying parquet is actually a fairly responsible process that requires some skill and skill. But this, of course, does not mean that you cannot do this task. Correct parquet laying

  • All wet and dusty repairs must be completed before laying the floor. And not only in the room where such a floor will be directly performed, but also in the neighboring ones. This includes: finishing wall and ceiling surfaces, laying tiles, installing utility networks, etc.
  • The workroom must be cleaned of debris, other objects, furniture.
  • It is necessary to constantly monitor the level of humidity. Ideal conditions for laying parquet - 45-60% - humidity, 20-240 C is the temperature.
  • Between adjacent elements of the parquet there should be gaps not exceeding 3 mm, and the size of the step - 0.5 mm. If inconsistencies are found, then these slats should be shifted.
  • In large halls, parquet laying begins in the middle, and then slowly move on both sides in the direction of the walls. The work should be synchronous, which will allow to maintain the symmetry of the picture.
  • In small rooms, laying begins from the far wall.
  • Parquet planks should be located in the direction of normal daylight.
